Millions of families around the world welcome new additions every day. Newborns mark a new chapter in family history and bring excitement and hope.

The Latest Duggar

Television personality Joy-Anna Forsyth (formerly Duggar) is one of those who recently welcomed a new life into the world. According to People Magazine, Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin, welcomed their son, Gideon Martyn Forsyth, to the world. The couple told the magazine that Gideon Martyn was born on Friday, Feb. 23, and weighed 10 pounds.

"We are blessed beyond measure with the arrival of our son, Gideon Martyn Forsyth. Looking at our child for the first time was such an incredible moment! God is so good, and we are so thankful," the couple told People Magazine.

The couple also shared their first set of family photos on Instagram to 505,000 followers on Feb. 26.

The Road To The Baby

Before Gideon was born, Joy-Anna and Austin knew each other for 15 years. The duo decided to get married on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas. The over 1,000-person wedding followed an almost three-month engagement as the couple became engaged on March 3, 2017. They were originally to be married in October 2017.

On their wedding registry, the Forsyths requested a plethora of items that ranged from gift cards to restaurants such as Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Cracker Barrel, to gifts that could be used for camping and travel. The only two items that might have raised eyebrows was a $600-worth Double Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw and a $425-worth blender and mixer.

Even before getting married, the couple had already shared a mighty bond and could not stand being apart from each other. In fact, the 19 Kids & Counting star was not happy that she was apart from Austin when she went to visit her longtime family friend, Carlin Bates. Joy-Anna cried on Bates' Instagram feed how much she missed her then fiancé's presence.

Austin asked the Duggar patriarch for Joy-Anna's hand in marriage, which then led to their engagement.

Other Celebrity Babies

In addition to Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth becoming new parents, other celebrities welcomed new babies into their families. The Voice coach Adam Levine and his wife, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, welcomed their daughter Gio Grace Levine earlier this February.

Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson introduced Beckett Richard Phelps to the world on Feb. 13.

Kylie Jenner also finally introduced Stormi Webster on Feb. 6 on social media. She gave birth to her daughter with rapper Travis Scott on Feb. 1.

Kylie is not the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan to have a baby this year. Her older sister, Kim Kardashian West, welcomed her third daughter with Kanye, Chicago West, to the family via surrogate on Jan. 15.
