Though her relationship with director Darren Aronofsky didn't last long, Jennifer Lawrence's friendship with Amy Schumer is one that she will cherish forever.

How Schumer Helped Lawrence After The Break-Up

Lawrence recently made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to promote her upcoming film Red Sparrow. During her appearance, she revealed how BFF Schumer cheered her up after her split with the filmmaker.

"When Darren and I first broke up. I told [Schumer] and I was really sad," she told Cohen. "The next day I got a bouquet of flowers delivered and I said, 'What is this?'" she recalled. "I bring the bouquet of flowers in and there was a note that says, 'I'm so sorry to hear you're gonna die alone. Love, Amy.' "

Lawrence, 27, and Aronofsky, 49, called it quits in November after dating for over a year. The Hunger Games star, 27, and the filmmaker, 48, started seeing each other shortly after wrapping up production of their film called Mother! last year.

News of their romance took many by surprise because of the 22-year age gap, which is presumably why the couple maintained a low profile.

Lawrence Says She Sobbed At Schumer's Wedding

Lawrence and Schumer have been BFFs for years. The Oscar-winning actress also revealed that she couldn't hold back her tears when the Snatched actress tied the knot with chef Chris Fischer in a surprise beach wedding in Malibu, California earlier this month.

"It was beautiful. It was very sudden, but it was, I was sobbing the whole - his vows were stunning," she said. "It's when two people really love each other and they really mean it, it shows, and it was a beautiful ceremony and an amazing time. I couldn't be happier for them."

Lawrence And Schumer's Upcoming Project

Schumer and Lawrence recently finished the table read for their upcoming comedy film. The two actresses wrote the movie together, and are now looking for a director. The pair's involvement with the project is not only as co-writers but also as co-stars.

The film's plot details are vague, but Lawrence and Schumer will star as sisters in the film. Schumer plays the character of a flight attendant who works at the airport and has it all together. Meanwhile, Lawrence's character is a complete opposite of her sister, and she is quite a mess.
