Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik parted ways earlier this month and just one week later, an insider suggested the singer is already regretting the breakup.

According to a new report, Malik, a former member of One Direction, is devastated by his split from the model and has been missing her ever since they went their separate ways.

“Zayn really loved Gigi, still loves her, and misses her dearly. The breakup has been really hard on him and he has been fighting the urge to beg her to come back,” a source close to Malik told Hollywood Life on March 20. “He still fears he they have made a terrible mistake breaking up because he still loves her.”

Hadid chose to confirm her breakup last week on Twitter with a kind statement to her fans and followers about the love he and Malik shared and the respect that remains. Meanwhile, Malik posted a more worrisome post as he tweeted about life giving him "lemons." A short time later, he reportedly began deleting all images of Hadid off his phone and began to focus his time and energy on his potentially upcoming music. 

Malik has reportedly been getting new tattoos as well, but still, he hasn't been able to let go of his past relationship.

According to another insider close to Hadid and Malik who spoke to Hollywood Life after the ex-couple's split last week, Hadid and Malik's romance had faded from their relationship. So, rather than continuing on without the spark they once had, they wanted to try and be by themselves.

The second source went on to tell the outlet that there was a slight possibility that Hadid and Malik would ultimately end up back together. As the insider explained, the former couple is said to be using this time apart to find out if they should remain separated or reconcile sometime down the road. 

“There is still a chance if they end up missing each other," the insider said of a reunion. "So there is still hope, but they definitely need time away [from each other].”

Since her breakup from Malik, Hadid has been spending tons of time with her family, including her mother, Yolanda Hadid, and her sister, Bella Hadid. As for Malik, he's been in Miami with friends.

What Are The Others Saying?

While Hollywood Life claims there is a chance that Hadid and Malik's relationship isn't over for good, Gossip Cop says otherwise, pointing out that the outlet has been wrong about the couple's future.
