Beyonce has personally chosen Luke James to accompany her again on the Mrs. Carter World Tour but this time for the U.S. stops.

"I am so honored and humbled that Beyonce personally chose me to share the stage with her again," he said in a statement after hearing the news.

The New Orleans native was Beyonce's opening act during the European leg of her tour in the spring.

"Her artistry, professionalism and work ethic are incomparable," he also said of Beyonce. "She and Jay-Z gave me great advice about perfecting my life show and connecting with the audience. I am really looking forward to bringing that same energy and performance that I delivered overseas to the U.S. audience."

James first appeared with Beyonce in her video for her single Run The World (Girls). He also opened her show at Revel in Atlantic City, N.J., in the summer of 2012.

"Luke James is a gifted singer and songwriter and what he does on stage with his pure falsetto is incredible," Beyonce said in a statement about the 29-year-old.

James was nominated for Best R&B Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards for his song I Want You. Aside from his own music, he has also written hits for household names including Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Britney Spears. In 2012, he was also named one of the faces of Diddy's Sean Jean clothing line.

The U.S. tour began on Friday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will continue until August 5 where the two will perform at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

"I cannot wait to get on that stage. This little light of mine..I'm gonna let it shine," he wrote on Twitter on Friday.

Despite opening for one of the biggest acts in the industry, James had told Billboard in 2012 that he has stage fright.

"But getting up on the stage in front of people and allowing them to judge me and see me in that form, I believe it takes a lot of courage and I commend anybody who can do it," he said. "So, yeah, that's something I'm conquering right now."

His debut album Made To Love is expected for release some time this fall.
