Ben Affleck finds a permanent residence with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus and it's a home that keeps him close to his family — including ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The former couple is keeping their relationship friendly for the sake of their kids. However, Affleck's recent step in securing a home nearby speaks volumes on just how good the relationship between the two really is.

While the award-winning director is about to officially shack up with Shookus, their new residence is deliberately less than a mile away from Garner's home. The purchase was first reported by X17 Online.

Ben Affleck's New Home

People reported that Affleck's potential $19.2 million mansion is a traditional style home in Los Angeles. This move makes sense as the former couple have been successfully co-parenting their three children Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6.

The new house is certainly big enough to host the entire brood with seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a gym, a home theater, a swimming pool, spa, outdoor BBQ, and a guest house among other features.

A source told E! News that the father of three already took his kids to the residence the past weekend so the trio could check out their new home. Affleck's SNL producer girlfriend also went there to see it.

"Everyone has a good relationship," another source adds about Garner and Affleck. "They are adults who are co-parenting."

Affleck will reportedly begin moving in when he completes shooting his next film Triple Frontier in Hawaii.

Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Enjoy Good Relationship

While every divorce has the potential to turn as an ugly parting of ways, it hasn't happened for this particular pair of Hollywood A-listers. Affleck and Garner, who were married for 10 years, may have split up, but they are keeping their family together.

Just last Easter, Garner and their three kids flew to Hawaii to spend the holiday weekend with the actor during the production of Triple Frontier.

It's not the first time the family has all been together, however. The former couple has been spotted out and about with the children several times.

"Things are pretty good between them right now," a source close to Affleck said in a report from People. "They are happy to be together."

"He's in a great place, enjoying his work on the new film and being able to fly back to spend time with the family during downtime," the source adds.
