It looks like MTV has found their replacement for Farrah Abraham. The Teen Mom OG star's place will be taken by a very familiar face.

Bringing Out The Big Guns

According to reports, none other than Bristol Palin is set to join the hit reality show eight years after she stopped actually being a teenage mother herself.

Bristol, the 27-year-old daughter of infamous former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is reportedly going to be a regular cast member on the show's upcoming season.

She will join originals Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Catelynn Lowell when the show returns this fall.

Abraham was fired on camera earlier this year, purportedly for her refusal to give up her career in adult entertainment to appear on the show. MTV later advised that she was too difficult to work with, which Abraham denied, doubling down on the pornography angle and claiming discrimination.

The beleaguered reality star was arrested earlier this year following an incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel, during which she allegedly assaulted a staff member. In March, she settled a lawsuit against MTV's parent company Viacom for an undisclosed amount.

An Interesting Choice

Palin is an interesting addition to the Teen Mom OG cast. She has three children, namely Tripp, with ex-fiancé Levi Johnson, whom she gave birth to in 2008 at just 17, along with Sailor Grace, 2, and Atlee Bay, 14 months, with estranged husband Dakota Meyer.

Her teen pregnancy made headlines when it was revealed during the then-governor of Alaska's run for VP. Sarah Palin was campaigning with then-Republican presidential nominee John McCain at the time.

She's no stranger to reality TV, having appeared previously on Dancing with the Stars, Sarah Palin's Alaska alongside her mother, and on Lifetime's Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp.

Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry took to Twitter to comment on the casting of Palin in the sister show.

"Bristol palin & cheyenne & Cory for teen mom og? Our producers sure know what to do," wrote Lowry, along with a blushing emoji.

The mother of three is referring to The Challenge's Cheyenne Floyd, who also recently joined the cast. Lowry later clarified her position, claiming she wasn't being negative.

"I also am hating whatsoever. I'm just surprised," the reality star followed up.

Palin recently reflected on her first pregnancy in an emotional Instagram post.

"10 years ago this week-my life took the biggest possible turn. I was 17 and a junior in high school... It took hearing your heartbeat for a positive pregnancy test to really mean anything to me, and took holding you in my arms to realize my life was going to be changed forever," Palin wrote.

According to various sources, the 27-year-old has already begun filming alongside Portwood, Bookout, Lowell, and fellow newcomers Floyd and MTV alum Mackenzie McKee, who appeared on the short-lived Teen Mom 3.
