ABC's The Bachelor season 17 star Sean Lowe sparked rumors that The Bachelorette season 8 winner Jef Holm might become the next Bachelor after he wrote a simple tweet.

Lowe, 29, wrote on Twitter on June 24, "Does anyone else think @jefholm should be the next bachelor? Just a thought."

The majority of Lowe's followers wrote that Holm should become the next Bachelor for Season 18.

An insider revealed there probably was no chance that Holm, a Utah entrepreneur, would become the next Bachelor,  telling Wetpaint, "Chances are, it's not happening,"

"Producers aren't convinced Jef is ready to settle down," the insider said of the businessman who is rumored to be dating a 20 year-old college student. "They just don't believe he's looking for marriage right now. Love maybe, but not marriage, which is really what matters when it comes to being the Bachelor."

The source said the idea of Holm becoming the next Bachelor should not be completely discounted, but at the present time, it's just a rumor.

Holm garnered a huge fan following after he won the heart of Emily Maynard on Season 8 of The Bachelorette. Maynard gave Holm her final rose when the finale aired on July 22, 2012. The couple would later announce that their engagement ended in October, 2012.

"I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways," Maynard told People in a statement. "It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision."

The couple made the announcement a month after a series of cheating scandals surfaced where they were both rumored to be having affairs.
