It's been four months since Spring Breakers hit theaters and rapper Riff Raff said he still wants recognition that he was the inspiration for Alien, played by James Franco.

When TMZ approached him on Monday in front of AV Club in Hollywood, he said, "I haven't been compensated for the Spring Breakers interactment yet...We're seeking $8-10 million right now."

When asked if the lawsuit involved Franco he explained, "Not necessarily with James Franco...[he's] cool. He can drop four or five movies a year. He has the money. It's not about him. I just need my money."

Growing up in Houston, Texas, the former From G's to Gents reality star believed that instead of casting him in the film, director Harmony Korine used him as an inspiration for Franco's character.

However, Franco told GQ in May 2012, that he and Korine wanted to do a movie together and what Riff Raff was saying was all lies.

"None of that's true...Harmony and I were talking about doing a movie together before Spring Breakers was even conceived," the actor said. "Of course Harmony and I looked at some of Riff Raff's videos as inspiration, but he was one of a number of people we looked at. I would say the biggest influence on the role was this local Florida rapper named Dangeruss."

The actor clarified that despite the fact that Riff Raff, born Jody Christian, released an album titled The Golden Alien in July 2012 and has an alien tattoo on his left arm, the Alien character in Spring Breakers makes no reference to the rapper.

Spring Breakers - starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson - made over $14 million in box office sales.
