Shailene Woodley revealed some advice given to her by Jennifer Lawrence about starring in a blockbuster movie.

Woodley will be starring in the sci-fi film Divergent in 2014, based on the young adult novel of the same name. The actress told Vanity Fair at Comic-Con Thursday about the advice Lawrence gave her in regards to starring in a big-budget blockbuster.

"She gave me really beautiful advice and said that I should definitely take it," Woodley said. "[She said] it will be the best thing that ever happened. But don't be an idiot, do a sex tape, do drugs. And go to Whole Foods when your movie opens."

Divergent will be Woodley's first blockbuster film, after starring in such indie dramas as The Descendants and The Spectacular Now. She also starred in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager from 2008-2013. Woodley revealed that she was hesitant to sign on to Divergent at first.

"Doing a huge franchise movie that has the potential to be very successful was frightening to me," she admitted. "I never wanted that amount of attention, and the thought of losing my anonymity was not something that I was looking forward to."

Lawrence shot to fame after starring in the film adaptation of The Hunger Games young adult novel. The film grossed close to $700 million worldwide in its 2012 theater release. Divergent has been compared to The Hunger Games in terms of its themes and its young adult audience.

Woodley said that the reason she ultimately signed on to Divergent was because there is "a lot of beauty that can come of something like this." She said that if the film is successful enough, she could be provided with opportunity to do a lot of great things."
