One Direction, Liam Payne Spends Over a Million Pounds on Bottle of Champagne? PHOTO

One Direction's Liam Payne knows how to celebrate a friend's birthday. 

Payne was reportedly at Funky Buddha in London on July 17 to celebrate his friend Wizkid's 24th birthday when he was spotted with Goût de Diamants champagne, French for "taste of diamonds." A picture of Payne was posted on Instagram that day that shows him pouring the champagne into Wizkid's cup. The image was captioned it with "@wizkidayo & Liam (one direction) enjoying taste of diamonds @goutdediamants at his birthday party. Launching in NIGERIA end of this month with this Swarovski Diamond bottle edition (sic)."

The respective champagne retails at £1.2 million, but Payne didn't drop that much cash. 

The designer of the champagne, Alezander Amosu, posted on Instagram on July 18, "Wow!!! Seems the media has taking my Instagram & changed it to there own. Swarovski diamond edition as stated on my Instagram is £350 not £1.2m."

Payne recently apologized on Twitter for going on a rant about fans calling his hotel room on his days off. After spotting hurtful signs at his concert, Payne tweeted on July 12, "Hey everyone. Saw some signs about me tonight that where a bit upsetting."

"Dont know whats happend but i hope I'm good with you guys and I hope you know how grateful I am that you guys have done all of this for us because i genuinely can't believe how lucky I am to be here," he said.

"It's amazing that you guys have created all this for us, non of us can believe the stuff that we get to do everyday and it's all down to you guys spending time on here spreading the word about us and being so dedicated spending all your money trying to make it to our shows an stuff."
