Lauren Stamile is slated to guest star on the season premiere of The Mentalist.

The Burn Notice actress will appear in the Sept. 29 episode, according to TV Fanatic. Entitled 'The Dessert Rose,' the episode will feature Stamile as the wife of a murder victim.

Season 6 of the CBS show is set to focus on Patrick Jane's (Simon Baker) hunt for Red John with the help of the list of suspects he received from Lorelei Martins during last spring's "Red John's Rules."

On Martins' list are seven names, all of whom Jane has considered in his search for the serial killer - Bret Stiles, Gale Bertram, Ray Haffner, Reede Smith, Bob Kirkland, Sheriff Thomas McAllister and Brett Partridge. According to Robin Tunney (Agent Lisbon), the format of the show will be a little different when it returns in the fall.

"I think it's going to be serialized," Tunney said, according to Digital Spy. "It's going to be all about finding Red John and not sort of a crime of the week every week. I feel like the show's been on for so long it's nice that they're going to sort of break the regular mold and hopefully it will be sort of reinvigorated."

While Stamile's character, Madison Yardley, is brought into the plot following the discovery of her husband's two-year-old corpse, the episode may still veer from a textbook murder investigation and steer more towards the serial killer spectrum.
