Formerly canceled, Unforgettable has been given a new lease on life.

The cop-drama was ousted last May but has been resurrected for a second season on CBS. Still following the Cam Jansen of crime, Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), the program has been slightly revamped for its new run.

Carrie has hyperthymesia, a condition that allows her to remember everything she has seen. Together with her partner and former boyfriend Al (Dylan Walsh), the detective solved crimes for the NYPD while trying to remember what happened the day her sister was killed.

Now the partners have been taken out of Queens and relocated to a Manhattan based Major Crimes Unit, according to TV Guide. With the move comes a cast of new characters including former FBI agent Murray (Tawny Cypress), a computer savvy detective named Jay (James Liao), and Eliot (Dallas Roberts), the man who brought them all together.

As a summer show, Unforgettable is going for a slightly lighter fare. With this comes a decrease in the obsession over Carrie's sister Rachel.

"We're playing Rachel at a lower level. By our finale of this group, we'll get back into it," said Ed Redlich, executive producer, according to TV Guide. "We want to have big and fun episodes. It was a creative question. We are making a show for new viewers who were not familiar with it the first time, but we don't want to alienate people who originally watched it."

Unforgettable will premiere the first of 13 episodes on Sunday at 9 p.m.
