Katy Perry revealed that she told Kristen Stewart that she did not date Robert Pattinson after Stewart and the Hollywood hunk split in May.

Perry made the comments in the September issue of ELLE UK magazine.

"I sent her a text message saying, 'I know you've seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person,'" she said in the interview. "I'm just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts.'"

Pattinson and Perry were spotted together in public after he broke up with his Twilight co-star in mid May. The pair made their first public outing together, sans Stewart, at a family wedding less than a week after Pattinson moved his things out of his ex's Los Feliz home.

Perry was seen with him at the wedding rehearsal for Tanya Mayer, 23, and John Ricotta, 26 at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Cal. on May 25.

The pair also attended at a Bjork concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on June 8. They arrived separately but sat together during the show, according to X17 Online.

Soon afterwards, a source told E! Online  that "nothing is going on between Rob and Katy."

Perry was responding to reports that Stewart felt "betrayed" by the Firework singer. Entertainmentwise reported that a friend of Stewart's told Grazia she was "never fully comfortable with Rob and Katy's relationship."

"She always suspected he had a soft spot for her," the source reportedly told the publication. "She's furious that the pair seem to have got together without so much as a word to her.

Perry and Pattinson's outings at the time made Stewart "paranoid that something could have gone on before she split with Rob," the source said.
