Rosario Dawson, Sen. Cory Booker Call It Quits After 2 Years: Relationship Timeline Explored
Good things have come to an end for Rosario Dawn and Senator Cory Booker, as they reportedly call it quits after being together for two years.
According to a source close to the politician who spoke to People Magazine, the power couple has ended their relationship and is not dating anymore.
Despite the split, the insider assured that they remained good friends.
At the time of this writing, the reason behind their breakup has not been revealed yet, and neither Dawn nor Booker has publicly commented on the matter.
Per Oprah Daily, the pair first met in 2018 at a political fundraiser. Their connection didn't start until after months later.
In an interview with The Washington Post, the New Jersey lawmaker revealed they spoke for "hours and hours" during the charity event.
Booker said he had a hard time asking for her phone number, so he ended up blurting out "something stupid," asking her how to get in touch.
"She mercifully said something like, 'Oh, you want my phone number?' And my insides were like, 'Hell, yeah!' " he added.

On the other hand, the actress told Extra that she's happy that her then-boyfriend ran for the highest public office in America but still managed to center and prioritize their relationship to create a foundation.
"It means a lot to me that in the midst of all of that, he's always showing up for us," the "Men In Black II" star said.
A year after they confirmed their relationship status, Dawson spoke to Kevin Smith's podcast, saying they spent time apart due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they planned to move in together in New Jersey.
The actress said she was "very excited." Booker then spoke to BuzzFeed News, saying things between the two have been going smoothly.
"This is the first time in my life I've really lived with somebody-and obviously Rosario and I are enjoying and adjusting to that,"
In 2019, when Booker appeared in an episode of "RuPaul," the host was intrigued about a rumor, saying he loves writing love poems for Dawson.
The politician confirmed the rumors, saying his girlfriend inspires him.
Before their split, their last public appearance was during the January 2021 Inauguration in Washington D.C., where they wore matching facemasks.
