Joey King has been one of the promising actresses of this generation, and despite being linked to other actors she has worked with in the past, the star is finally ready to settle down as she shared a romantic secret that she kept for a while.

Taking to her Instagram, the "Kissing Booth" star shared a series of photos with her boyfriend, Steven Piet. Fans were thrilled upon reading the caption as she announced that she was already engaged.

The actress started her lengthy caption, saying she never knew happiness could be so powerful "it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that can't help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy."

King noted that she never thought a person's presence could be considered her "home."

"I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you," she added.

The "White House Down" star has kept the engagement for over a month as Piet popped the question on February 2, 2022.

Concluding her statement, King said she felt the luckiest lady alive when her boyfriend asked her to marry him.

The actress flaunted her ring in one of the photos, which featured a uniquely-cut diamond placed on top of a gold band.

Steve Piet also shared a different set of photos on his page with a separate caption, describing the day he got engaged, saying the weather was "less than perfect" as it was cold and windy.

He thought of asking his best friend to spend the rest of her life with him despite the "perfectly imperfect" weather condition.

Fans immediately bombarded the comment section of the newly-engaged couple, congratulating them for a milestone in their relationship.

Joey King Previously Dated Jacob Elordi Before Steve Piet

Before dating Piet, King was previously linked to her "Kissing Booth" co-star Jacob Elordi, but they broke up in 2018.

In an interview with Howard Stern in 2020, the actress revealed she enjoyed dating someone who is in the same field as her, but she would never date an actor again.

Luckily for her, Piet isn't an actor but rather a producer and director that she previously worked with for the 2019 Hulu limited series "The Act," where she played the role of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
