Twihards Vindicated: Kristen Stewart Is The Most Awarded Actress Of The Year For 'Spencer,' And Robert Pattinson Is THE Batman
Sure, they all made fun of us when we were 13 and loved Twilight, but we knew back then what they're only realizing now: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are actually phenomenal actors.
Kristen Stewart, who had several acting roles even before the part of Bella Swan made her a teen icon in 2008, is now the most awarded actress of the year for her role as Princess Diana in Spencer. Over 25 critics' groups have now crowned Stewart Best Actress for the role, according to a tweet by Neon Guilds, the studio behind Spencer (and Parasite, and Flee.)

Stewart is competing with four other distinguished actresses for the Oscar now: Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Olivia Colman for The Lost Daughter, Penélope Cruz for Parallel Mothers, and Nicole Kidman for Being The Ricardos.
Kidman is largely considered to be the frontrunner in this race, but Stewart is not out of the race by any means, and she could still easily snag the award.
Robert Pattinson, meanwhile, is absolutely blowing up right now as the new Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' The Batman, which just had a tremendous box office opening weekend and is recieving widespread praise as one of the greatest Batman movies of all time.

This is due, in large part, to Pattinson's acting and his reinterpretation of the character - his Bruce Wayne is younger, moodier, and still dealing with the emotional fallout of his parents death. He's a much more secluded Batman, whose "billionaire playboy" persona has not yet been developed in the slightest. He's a creature of raw anger and pain...not unlike Edward Cullen at the beginning of the Twilight saga.
All of this to say, it's nice to see Pattinson and Stewart finally getting the recognition they deserved. Like most things teenage girls are crazy into - like The Beatles, for instance - it only took about a decade or so for the rest of the world to catch up and realize, yeah, they're awesome, and teenage girls might have the best taste.
