Hollywood has been home to celebrities who make - and break - the industry.

In the past years, Hollywood has been dominating every part of the world's industry. As it expands due to the demand for more entertainment content, the number of buzzes also rises - affecting the celebrities' images.

Fans have already read enough issues about their idols recently, but here are the top 11 Hollywood scandals that rock the world.

Kendall Jenner

Despite not exposing herself too much in the spotlight, Jenner once stirred condemnation when she got accused of cultural appropriation when she landed a deal with Pepsi years ago. In the said ad, Kendall appeared in the middle of a group of activists holding banners that show the peace sign after she threw off her wig and smudged her lipstick.

Its climax showed the model refusing to protest and handing a can of Pepsi to the police officer as a peace offering instead.

Ellen DeGeneres

In 2020, DeGeneres got bombarded with the public's rage when multiple claims about her "mean" attitude started to surface. It all began when Dutch beauty YouTuber Nikkie de Jager, also known as NikkieTutorials, experienced the worst treatment as a transgender woman.

More people shared their own experiences, including Benjamin Siemon and Neil Breen, causing DeGeneres' popularity to fluctuate even more.

Johnny Depp

One of the most-covered scandals in Hollywood, Depp's legal issues in the past years also caused massive talks all over the globe. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star lost his major franchises when Amber Heard wrote an op-ed about sexual violence, before dealing with another blow when The Sun called him wife-beater.

Depp is scheduled to continue his legal showdown with his estranged ex-wife this year.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson's death proved that Hollywood celebrities' passing could also gain the world's attention. The King of Pop initially suffered from drug abuse, before the addiction itself claimed his life.

Jackson, who was dubbed as the "most disturbing person to be around" by Sir Elton John, suffered from cardiac arrest and died on June 25, 2009 -- which was later concluded to be a homicide.

Kanye West

Kanye West indeed became part of several scandals in the past years. But the VMA 2009 incident involving Taylor Swift made him earn criticisms from Swifties. On top of that, his attempt to run for president led people to assume that he was, instead, suffering from his bipolar disorder.

Bill Cosby

Cosby has been enjoying his life outside his prison cell, but his past legal involvement will always be hair-raising to people.

He has been the subject of sexual assault allegations, with over 60 women accusing him of different misconducts. He is scheduled to be part of another legal headache over the alleged 1974 Playboy Mansion sexual assault.

Josh Duggar

The reality TV star also faced sexual-related charges, including the shocking 2015 molestation scandal and his recent pornography addiction. Duggar was also accused of sexually abusing his sisters.

Harvey Weinstein

Weinstein had been one of the most-admired film producers in the industry, not until he was called a notorious offender by his accusers in the past years. Dozens of women, who started the #MeToo movement, highlighted that he was guilty of rape and sexual claims against him.

The damaging development caused Queen Elizabeth II to remove his CBE award.

Jussie Smollett

One of the most recent Hollywood scandals, Smollett's current case has been getting people's attention. The "Empire" actor reportedly hired two brothers from Nigeria to pretend to attack him in exchange for $3,500 to further his career. Unfortunately, he became popular for the wrong reasons.

R. Kelly

The "I Believe I Can Fly" hitmaker had since been found guilty on all nine counts in the racketeering and sex trafficking case. Acting U.S. Attorney Jacquelyn Kasulis branded him a predator who used his power and fame to victimize young and vulnerable individuals during the conviction this year.

His cases include one count of racketeering and 14 acts of sexual exploitation of a minor, briber, kidnapping, and sex trafficking charges.

Will Smith

[UPDATE] Will Smith's recent Oscar blunder isn't only a nightmare for his PR but to his family as well.

With a 10-year Oscar ban now taking effect, with some of his future projected already stalling, it's only a matter of time that his career is toast. Or is it? Time can only tell.
