Troy Kotsur, star of the the Apple TV movie "CODA," was allegedly involved in a mid-air incident after boarding a trip from London to Los Angeles without his sign language interpreter.

After consuming 10 little bottles of vodka on their American Airlines trip, the 53-year-old Oscar-nominated actor and his wife, Deanne Bray, were said to have engaged in a "increasingly heated dispute" with one another.

It was claimed by a source close to the actor to The Sun that he and his wife were talking when "all of a sudden it all started to go off, and he was gesticulating furiously as bits of food and silverware started flying around."

Troy is said to have pushed a fork over while gesticulating, which struck an adjacent passenger, who then burst into tears after being injured.

Apparently, as things started to get hot, a member of the cabin crew, who was having difficulty talking with Troy since they couldn't communicate with him using sign language, was forced to write a statement stating that police would be escorting him off the plane once it was grounded.

However, according to Troy Kotsur's agent per the Daily Mail, "ASL is a whole language, not just 'gesticulation,'" thus dispelling the notion that he was involved in a physical confrontation with another person.

Even though they confirmed that the actor and his wife missed a flight, which caused them to fly without an interpreter, which "led to a misunderstanding which was immediately cleared up when someone was contacted to interpret upon landing," they did not elaborate on the circumstances of their flight cancellation.

The cabin staff members also stressed that no passenger would be served 10 little bottles of vodka or any other number of beverages that came near to that level.

The representative stated that, except from Troy Kotsur and his wife, no one else on the plane spoke ASL; yet, it is very unusual for food or cutlery to be accidently pushed over when people are conversing in ASL during meals in cramped quarters when speaking in ASL.

There is no sign language help for deaf customers on any airline.

According to The Sun, once there was a someone available to interpret over FaceTime, everyone apparently shook hands and went out the door.

Troy Kotsur is described as a "nervous flyer," and it was noted that he was concerned about the fact that he did not have his translator with him.

According to reports, he was simply signing expansively, which may be bothersome for those who are hard of hearing, but it was entirely by chance that someone was struck by his elbow, which accidently knocked something off his tray.

The actor has had a good award season, taking home SAG Awards, BAFTA Awards, and Critic's Choice Movies Awards for his performance in the film "CODA."
