A former employee exposed Gwyneth Paltrow's company, Goop.

Fans are aware that Elise Loehnen, the former second-in-command of the "clean" firm, also co-hosted the Goop podcast and made regular appearances on "The Goop Lab," a Netflix show on the company's products and beliefs.

However, after seven years of collaboration with the "Pulp Fiction" actress, the former Chief Content Officer of Goop decided to leave the company in early 2020.

According to an Instagram post Elise shared on Tuesday, she made the decision to "forswear all cleanses" after realizing that her life had become associated with "dieting and limitation" and that she didn't want to have a negative connection with her body any more.

She went on to say that she had the impression she was punishing herself and "getting it under control."

Elise claims that since quitting the firm, she has been eating "like a teenager," and that she is enjoying herself.

The former boss, on the other hand, blamed her "distorted" body image on worrisome wellness trends, which she later denied.

Elise's resignation from Goop was described as a "healthy breakup," in which she "let go of ideas of what my body should look like as a 42-year-old woman who has had two children." In the caption of her Instagram post, Elise expressed her delight in the "full rebellion" she had experienced after leaving the company.

"Wellness culture can be toxic," she said, before promoting Kroma Wellness' liquid five-day detox, which includes lattes, smoothies, and bone broths, as well as their liquid five-day cleanse.

Elise insisted that things would be different this time around by skipping weigh-ins and giving herself some leeway to deviate from the diet rules.

According to her, she is only want to return to a place where she can talk about her body again, pointing out that working at Goop prompted dialogues in which her body was referred to as "distorted."

Recently, the reputation of Gwyneth Paltrow's firm has been called into question multiple times in the previous few years, with detractors questioning the credibility of the organization's health recommendations. The company's former workers have even come forward with information on their purported "clean lifestyle" business.

According to the Daily Mail, employee evaluations online indicated a large number of resignations from Goop since 2019, with many blaming the company's poisonous workplace atmosphere, low wage, "fear-based" management, and "mean-girl" attitude as reasons for leaving, while Business Insider reported over 140 individuals quit or were laid off.
