Dolly Parton's Plastic Surgery: Actress Has Heartbreaking Reason For Enhancing Visuals
Dolly Parton has been one of the greatest actresses and music icons the world has ever had, but she is also famous for her looks.
Amid the condemnation Hollywood celebrities and personalities are getting because of undergoing plastic surgeries, Parton is not like them as she has never been shy about it.
Throughout her active years, she always sports her signature look and trademark style. But the "Steel Magnolias" star has a heartbreaking reason for receiving the procedures.
Why Dolly Parton Opted for Plastic Surgeries Revealed
In every interview she appeared in, Parton offered a similar reason as to why she underwent cosmetic surgeries - she was "not naturally pretty."
She once told CBS Sunday Morning that she is aware that she already looks artificial after all the procedures she went through. Still, she assured everyone that she is totally real.
The 76-year-old "Islands In The Stream" hitmaker said that, since she is not as beautiful as the women in Hollywood, she makes the most of everything she got.
"You should have seen me this morning before I got ready to see you. I'm serious, though. I'm not a natural beauty, but I can enhance it. Whatever it takes, I do. I try to make the most of everything," she told CBS Sunday Morning co-host Tony Dokoupil.
Parton also detailed how she sleeps with full makeup on "in case of emergency." Despite that, she just shrugs off the potential criticisms and pokes fun at herself instead. Initially, it reportedly hurt to hear people tell her to receive plastic surgery.

It reportedly embarrassed her whenever people asked her if she received a procedure before she even began having the treatments and procedures.
But as years went by, she reportedly got used to it and took the comments as lightly as possible.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Elle, she revealed that she was asked to tone down her makeup so people could take her seriously. Aside from following the advice, she also realized that she should let people recognize her while being comfortable and happy about herself. After all, she believes that "rhinestone shines just as good as a diamond."
Parton underwent at least six major cosmetic surgeries in the past years. This includes breast augmentation, brow lift, eyelids enhancement, nose job, chin correction, and breast implants.
Her surgeon, Dr. John Grossman, revealed that Parton had her face rejuvenated multiple times. But she never had a full face-lift.
