Johnny Depp drew a couple of laughs during his defamation trial against Amber Heard as the actor continuously dropped jokes throughout his cross-examination.

Fans and supporters of both camps witnessed how intense the atmosphere was during last week's cross-examination. Heard's lawyers even tried to pressure him as they confronted him with evidence of his alleged drug and alcohol abuse.

Depp got involved in a sparring session with Heard's legal team as he aims to win the legal battle.

But aside from the serious parts of the trial, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star also broke the ice and offered jokes while he was on the stand.

Johnny Depp Gave Marilyn Manson a Pill

At one point, Heard's lawyer Ben Rottenborn asked him about his drug use. The actor listened intently to what he said and asked him including a question about Manson.

"One of your good friends that you've taken drugs with before is Marilyn Manson, right?" Rottenborn asked. Manson has since been accused of having abusive behavior.

Depp responded and said that they drank and had cocaine together a couple of times, explaining that he had to give Manson a pill so he would stop talking so much.

Johnny Depp Can Have Happy Hour Anytime

Rottenborn also showed a photo of the actor's alleged whiskey and cocaine taken in March 2013. According to Depp, it is normal to have a glass of liquor whenever he returned home.

Heard's lawyer questioned him, asking him if he would drink whiskey in the mornings.

Depp set off light laughter in the room by responding that happy hour happens anytime. He also savagely answered the lawyer's statement about him drinking heavily, asking the attorney if he was there when he was drinking.

Amber Heard's Lawyer Reading Things Repeatedly

Heard's lawyer also presented after the then-couple filed for divorce.  He asks Heard if she wants to cut him somewhere. The actress pleads and tells him not to cut his skin. She also questions him why she would do that.

During the cross-examination, the lawyer read the statement "I have other uses for your throat which do not include injury" twice. After reading it for the second time, Depp asked the attorney to read it again.

Johnny Depp Done With Hearsays

Heard's lawyers dismissed Depp's statements multiple times and called them hearsays. The actress' team told the judge that those were only rumors before telling Depp they would ask him a different question.

"Let's let them object to another one," Depp hilariously responded. He continuously read more statements which the lawyers all tagged as hearsays.

In the end, he even said that he looked at the papers - and called them "hearsay papers" on Heard's lawyers' behalf.

Johnny Depp' Signed Documents

One of the evidence presented includes Depp's alleged signed documents. Heard's lawyers asked Depp - not once, not twice, not thrice, but multiple times - if he signed the document.

"Is that the same one I signed three times before?" he asked the lawyer after the fourth similar question.
