Chris Rock's mother finally shared her thoughts on the infamous Will Smith's slap during the 2022 Oscars ceremony.

One month after the blunder happened, Rock's mother, Rose Rock, sat for an interview with WIS and shared the latest update on the comedian. According to Rose, her son is doing well after the slap, but he is reportedly "processing" the incident.

Heartbreakingly, the motivational speaker revealed how she told someone that when Smith slapped Rock, the "King Richard" actor had already slapped the entire family. She went on to emotionally that when a person hurts her child, that person hurts her, as well.

When asked what she would tell Smith after the Oscars slap, the matriarch said that she would ask him what he was thinking at that moment.

"Chris could have stepped back and fallen. You really could have gotten taken out in handcuffs. You didn't think. You reacted to your wife giving you the side-eye, and you went up, and you made her day because she was bowled over laughing when it happened," she said.

During the same interview, Rose also reflected on the Academy's move to ban the actor.

While she reportedly thinks that the award-giving body should have taken Smith's Oscar away, she also told how proud she is of her son's reaction.

Like her other children, Rose reportedly felt the insincerity of Smith's apology statement on his Instagram account.

"I feel really bad that he never apologized," she said, as quoted by Billboard. "His people wrote up a piece and said, 'I apologize to Chris Rock,' but something like that is personal. You reach out."

The matriarch's comments came out after Rock's brother, Kenny, invited Smith to a boxing match. Fox News shared a video from a news outlet featuring Chris' brother, Kenny, who believes that the actor should be his rival after securing a deal with Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman.

Like his mother, Kenny also does not think that Smith's apology was genuine. He also suggested that the actor's publicist and people close to him only advised him to do that.

Kenny also took his time to defend his brother, saying that Rock would never joke about Jada Pinkett Smith if he knew about the actress' alopecia.

As of this time, Rock himself has not addressed the slap yet.
