AMC's The Walking Dead has its highly dedicated fans salivating over its future return for season 4, which will happen in the fall.

In a behind the scenes clip that was recently posted, comic book creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman dished that the creative team will be upping the ante and switching things up.

"We're making everything look different and new and unique for this season. I think there's gonna be some really cool new elements thrown in that will shock you," he said.

Andrew Lincoln, who plays the group's leader Rick Grimes, also chimed in on the upcoming installment, stating how astonished he was that the creative brass managed to raise the bar from last season.

"The scripts this season are...beyond great. There deeper, darker, I don't know how these guys do it in the writer's room. Where it keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger," he said.
