Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson split up around two years ago, yet the latter continues to talk about their brief relationship.

Now, the "Can't Be Tamed" hitmaker is apparently irritated by him revealing details about their prior relationship.

When Simpson and Cyrus called it quits on their 10-month affair in 2022, they were so tight-lipped that no one knew why.

However, two years later, the Australian musician has raised some eyebrows after spilling the beans on the entire situation.

"It was kind of a mutual choice between us knowing that we were moving in separate paths in our lives," the "Not Just You" hitmaker revealed of their split.

Their romance began in October 2019, right before the pandemic hit.

Simpson told "The Kyle & Jackie O Show" that he had just started training at the time, and that his life was changing so rapidly that he knew he wanted to return to Australia to do it properly.

Meanwhile, Simpson claimed that Cyrus was just working on her record and touring, "so it was a fork in the road type of thing, basically."

The Olympic swimmer participant, on the other hand, said that there were no hard feelings when they parted since they had a fantastic year together, living together during the lockdown and doing activities together.

According to an OK magazine source, it's clear to Cyrus that he's simply trying to garner attention.

"What concerns her isn't so much what Cody says as it is the fact that it's been two years and he's still finding ways to talk about her."

When Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson initially hooked up, many cautioned the former Disney Channel star that he was just interested in her for the sake of fame.

Despite the fact that she allegedly opted not to trust them, Cyrus is said to be questioning whether he was just exploiting her the entire time.

However, the 29-year-old "Hannah Montana" star, who is presently dating Maxx Morando, has moved on and hopes that Simpson will as well.

"She's been courteous and hasn't chastised him for attempting to gain clout via her, but she's had enough."

Meanwhile, Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter revealed her codependency issues at a concert in September 2021.

She told the audience that she had a theory that if she didn't have a partner, she would die, but she was able to channel that feeling into something more positive.

"If I didn't have someone to kiss every night... But this was taken away from me during COVID, so I turned to music for a new purpose."
