Thank GOD Bridgerton is trending again - it's mostly due to the recasting of Francesca Bridgerton, but regardless, I was waiting for an excuse to talk about this:

I just learned that all three of the beloved elder Bridgerton Boys - Anthony, Benedict, and Colin - can ALL SING.

As if there weren't enough reasons to swoon over them already.

We already knew Colin, played by actor Luke Newton, can sing - he did it in season one of Bridgerton, and he sounded lovely.

And we also know that Jonathan Bailey, who plays season two leading man Anthony Bridgerton, has an extensive background on Broadway - he is well-known for performances in stellar musicals like Company and The Last Five Years.

All that remained to be seen was whether Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, could sing - and thankfully, somebody was kind enough to find a recording of that, too - and then put it in a video along with recordings of the other two brothers singing, just to really drive it home.

We never actually hear Thompson sing alone - he's only harmonizing with his on-screen brothers - but for our purposes, that's all that's really necessary.

What are our purposes? Why, thank you for asking.

@Bridgerton's PR TEAM: Please Make This Promo For Season Four, I'm Literally Begging.

I know we're literally two years out from this, but hear me out, because once the thought occurred to me I was unable to get it out of my head.

(EDIT: Annoyingly, I've had to make changes to this advertisement fantasy of mine, because two days after I posted this, the Bridgerton team announced that they were pulling a switcheroo with Colin and Benedict - while season 3 was supposed to be about Benny boy and his love interest Sophie, the changes the Netflix show has made to the books have made it so that putting Colin and Penelope's love story first made more sense. Just know that originally, Colin and Benedict were swapped.)

Picture this: It's 2024. The latest season of Bridgerton has been over for a year, and we are eagerly awaiting season 4. A trailer emerges...and you definitely recognize the song playing. In fact, the whole thing looks a lot like...

...This.

The Jonas Brothers' "What A Man Gotta Do" is literally a song about three gorgeous, beloved brothers simping SO HARD for their wives that they gotta do a silly little dance about it. It would be. Perfect.

We open with Colin and Nicola Coughlan's Penelope - doing Nick Jonas' scene with his gorgeous wife Priyanka Chopra, sliding around in socks and acting like a goof at home. Colin is basically the Nick of the Bridgerton brothers (baby, precious), so this makes perfect sense.

Then we cut to Joe Jonas' scene, and the Grease reference - and here's where you really start to realize this is perfect. Simone Ashley wouldn't be the one taking Sophie Turner's part - it would be Edwina, Charithra Chandran, dancing with Jonathan Bailey's Anthony at first, dressed all in white.

Then, halfway through, a much more sultrily dressed Kate Sharma will come in and steal the show, bringing Anthony to his knees at her feet (where he belongs.)

And of course, at the moment the music gets a little suspensful, we'd see Benedict Bridgerton outside someone's window, frantically trying to get a string quartet together on the lawn to serenade his mystery Sophie - whoever the lucky actress is. The trailer will reveal her face for the first time - and she can come down and do a cute little dance together, just like Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle.

This promo would be perfect in so many ways. It would be totally on-theme with Bridgerton's love of using pop music to highlight what's going on in the emotional lives of their characters. It would play to the talents of the cast. AND - much like when they made a day of playing Pall-Mall for real in order to get the shots for that one episode in season 2 - we bet the whole cast would have heaps of fun doing it.

Bridgerton PR team. I'm begging you. Contact The Jonas Brothers now. Please make this happen. We'd all die.
