The season four finale of the hit CBS crime drama FBI has been taken down from the network's line-up due to the recent events in Uvalde, Texas this week.

The episode in question, titled "Prodigal Son," was to revolve around the team trying to stop a school shooting. The synopsis for the episode was reported by Deadline:

"As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal's son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case."

The episode's preview has been removed from the CBS site. In a statement made on Twitter, the show's account posted,

This news also comes with the cancellation of the red-carpet premiere of the AppleTV+ series Physical, which is going into its second season. A statement was released that read,

"Out of respect for today's tragedy in Texas, tonight's screening of Physical season two will be a private event with no press. We thank you for wanting to be there with us, and know that you join us our heartfelt support for all of the families affected by today's event."

All too often, these ripped-from-the-headlines episodes seem to be hitting way too close to home - and raises a bigger more serious discussion.

It's these moments of art imitating life that are so gut-wrenching to fathom.

Enstarz would like to extend our deepest condolences to those affected by, not only the events in Texas the week, but to the several people who have had their lives changed due to gun violence. It should not have happened to you, or anyone.
