Rumored to be lighter and slimmer than it's predecessor, the iPad 5 speculators can now see if the new device lives up to the hype.

There's a new video circulating the Internet that shows off the alleged iPad 5 case from China. Situated between the iPad 4 and the iPad Mini, the 5 is clearly smaller than its full-sized forerunner and it mimics the slimness of the mini.

Although Apple has not made any official announcements regarding the device, recent rumors point towards a late September/early October release. Baised on production reports, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities predicted that the iPad 5 would go into production in late July and be ready for a reveal in early fall. Meanwhile, Apple CEO Tim Cook claims something big is coming from the Cupertino based company in coming months.

"Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software, and services that we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014," Cook said, according to Expert Reviews.

Updates consumers are expected to see in the fifth generation include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, iOS 7, and GF2 touch screen technology. Already in use in the iPad Mini, the GF2 touch screen will help in decreasing the weight of the iPad 5.
