Bobby Brown's documentary was released in order for him to clear his name after being implicated for the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston.

According to The Sun, Brown believed that by "unraveling his soul on TV," he would be able to prove that he was not guilty for the murder of the "I Will Always Love You" singer.

Brown is "happy" that he has already spoken his truth about his turbulent past, including Houston's drug usage and their rollercoaster relationship, in his explosive two-part television documentary "Biography: Bobby Brown."

Many Houston fans held Brown responsible for the singer's drug addiction in the 1990s, even believing he introduced her to cocaine.

The award-winning singer-songwriter was discovered unconscious in the bathtub of a room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in February 2012.

Whitney Houston died as a result of drowning and the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine addiction," according to reports.

Brown has told close pals that his version of real-life events involving the actual Whitney Houston is now known and according to an anonymous acquaintance who worked on the documentary, Brown did not throw his ex "under the bus."

"[Brown] made it quite evident that she was no angel or squeaky-clean church-raised child. She was a tough-as-nails street girl with a larger drug problem than he thought."

"She was the driving cause for getting high long before he found himself spinning out of control," the insider added.

Despite authoring a biography and disclosing details of his marriage to Houston, watching him on television "expressed his feelings so forcefully, connected so much deeper with people."

Bobby Brown revealed in the shocking documentary that if they had stayed together and battled hard against their drug addictions, his ex-wife would still be alive today.

He admitted on the show that he is still upset that Houston couldn't let go of the substance usage after Brown had been sober.

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina Brown, their daughter, died three years after her mother.

In January 2015, she was discovered lifeless in a bathtub in her Atlanta home. For six months, she was placed in a medically induced coma and hospice care.

Nick Gordon was held responsible for her death in a 2016 legal court after the 22-year-old TV personality died in July 2015. He was never charged, though.
