Austin Butler's Elvis impression is absolutely ICONIC.

A significant amount of buzz has been building around the upcoming film Elvis. This biopic, directed by the incredible Baz Luhrmann, follows the story of the genre-changing musicians life and career. The film has already been given the stamp of approval from Presley's surviving family. Furthermore, the lengths that Austin Butler, the actor playing the iconic title role of the film, went to in order to secure the part had us all confident that we were in for a film of absolutely epic proportions. Now, we are sure of it.

Butler went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. While at the iconic late night studio, the star showed off his well crafted and carefully curated impression of Elvis Presley to Jimmy Fallon. Fallon was justifiably floored. Around the three minute mark, while Butler is discussing combing through the archives of the ever-changing voice of the King, Fallon asks him for a demonstration.

Much in the way that Julia Garner once showed off her process as she portrayed Anna Delvey in the hit Netflix series Inventing Anna, Butler explained the way he got into the mindset of Elvis in order to replicate the voice- specifically in 1954. He explains how Presley's nerves played a part in the way that he sounded, effortlessly slipping into the voice. Check out the video here. It is magical and words cannot properly capture Butler's exceptional talent.

We can't wait to see Elvis when it comes out on June 24, 2022.
