"1883" wrapped up a few months ago and one of the key cast members, Faith Hill, is opening up about her personal experience while working on the critically-acclaimed Paramount+ series, saying it was "grueling."

Speaking to Entertainment Times' Casie DiLaura at the Londonder Hotel, the country singer said working on set set the bar high for future acting jobs.

However, working on the renowned TV show was also "severe" and "grueling" because of their filming schedule.

Tim McGraw's wife then shared that she went through "a little bit of a depression" for a few weeks.

"There was something about that schedule too that was severe and grueling but it became so much a part of our lives for almost six months," she added.

The characters James and Margaret Dutton are played by Hill and her husband. The actress/singer then opened up about working with her other half on set.

Hill said choosing to work on the "Yellowstone" prequel was an opportunity they couldn't miss.

"We've been asked to do things together before, the reason for this one, this particular one, was because of the material, we couldn't pass it up. It felt like a blessing, we felt so lucky, honestly, to have that fall into our lap," she added.

The couple committed to their on-screen roles so hard that they wanted to portray their characters as authentically as possible.

For them to achieve that, they didn't run lines together and never spoke about the scenes they were in. She clarified that they talk about other scenes sometimes, but not those that they were in together.

Also speaking to the same interviewer, McGraw revealed they wanted viewers of the show to see them as James and Margaret instead of their true selves.

Before the show went under production, McGraw said he saw his wife play the character for the first time while the cameras were filming them.

Hill then opened up about Margaret Dutton, saying the role was "incredibly heavy" and had to slowly let go of her after the show to come back as a wife and mother to her real-life kids.

The couple will be back for the show's sequel titled "1923." The Paramount+ series was initially named "1932," but was later changed months before its release.

According to Variety, the sequel will focus on the Dutton family's succeeding generations as they fight to survive drought, prohibition, and lawlessness.

The show will be released in December 2022.
