The co-creators of Once Upon a Time revealed some details about season 3, including new love interests, characters and unexplored lands.

Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis answered numerous questions by TV Guide about the new season in a report published Monday.

As the show's main characters travel from Storybrooke to Neverland, there will be many new characters introduced. One of those characters is Rufio, the leader of the Lost Boys from the Peter Pan universe. The show might be paying homage to the 1991 film Hook, which features Rufio as a character.

"Rufio belongs to another take on the Pan thing," Horowitz explained. "We're not using that character that was created by another world, but we are making a loving nod towards a movie and a mythology that we enjoy."

He added that there would be a "nice, fun nod" to the film.

As for the status of Regina Mills' (Lana Parrilla) love life, Horowitz and Kitsis revealed that she would be getting a love interest in season 3.

"Will she chose to love is another question," Kitsis teased.

After their stint in Neverland, the characters may possibly be traveling to the Land of Oz in season 3. In the first two seasons the show has made references to Oz, such as the flying monkeys seen in a storybook in the first episode. Also in the Alice in Wonderland-themed episode Hat Trick, from season 1, there was a green curtain, a reference to the Wizard of Oz's hiding place.

Addressing whether or not the characters would be visiting Oz this season, Kitsis said, "Perhaps," while Horowitz teased, "Let's talk about that question in December."

In other Once Upon a Time spoiler news, Horowitz tweeted a picture on Aug. 3 of the script for season 3's second episode. The picture revealed the title of the second episode to be Lost Girl, a possible reference to the Lost Boys from Neverland.

Season 3 of Once Upon a Time will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
