Many fans have been speculating about the status of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's marriage after the former was photographed last week sitting on a curb after a date night. Today, the model broke her silence to reveal what truly happened that evening.

Early this week, a snap of the chef made rounds online, showing him sitting outside Cecconi's, a celebrity-favorite restaurant in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The couple reportedly dined at the Italian restaurant together then Beckham was spotted leaving by himself.

Today, taking to her official Instagram account, the 27-year-old model shared a photo of herself standing on a street during their date night.

She explained the situation, insisting that her husband didn't leave her alone at the restaurant, but rather, she went out on a different exit to avoid the paparazzi.

"When you exit out the alley to avoid the paps and do it well enough that they think @brooklynpeltzbeckham left alone," she wrote. (via OK! Magazine)

Her photographer husband also re-posted the photo on his account.

Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz's Marriage Filled With Controversy

The couple is married for five months now, but their relationship has been a center of controversy and speculations about what's happening behind closed doors.

Many insiders alleged that Peltz is not getting along with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.

It all started when she wore a Valentino Haute Couture wedding dress during her special day instead of an outfit designed by the Spice Girls member.

"Victoria and Nicola just don't always get on as well as everyone may think. As time has gone on I think they've realised they don't really click," a source revealed.

The model has debunked the issues between her and the singer, saying she really wanted to wear one of her husband's mother's creations, but they only have a "few months down the line," and her fashion house couldn't finish the dress on time, leading her to choose Valentino.

The issue ignited, even more, when the fashion designer reportedly didn't invite her daughter-in-law to her fashion show at this season's Paris Fashion Week.

A "family friend" previously spoke to Daily Mail UK, saying Victoria never personally called the couple to invite them and they only found out about the fashion show through Women's Wear Daily.

The source added that the fashion show is a "family affair" and the couple was surprised that they weren't invited.

As of this writing, Victoria Beckham has not commented on the matter.
