The cast of "Don't Worry Darling" has been taking over the internet by storm due to the allegations happening behind closed doors. However, another moment during an event went viral as fans alleged that lead star Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine. Today, the latter's team broke their silence to reveal the truth.

According to representatives of the actor who spoke to Billboard, the "As It Was" singer did not spit on him as the video was only a result of "an odd online illusion."

They added that the short clip deceives fans to have a "foolish speculation."

"there is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist," they added.

As of this writing, Harry Styles' team has yet to address the matter.

Chris Pine, Harry Styles Viral 'Spit' Video

The video in question made rounds on Twitter after a user said the singer appeared to spit on the actor upon returning to his seat at this year's Venice International Film Festival where their movie premiered.

When Styles was about to sit down, his lips can be seen puckering then Pine looked down, making an illusion that the former spit on his seat.

The short clip made rounds online and caused a heated debate between the two stars' fans as many claimed that the singer will not do such a thing.

A body language expert also spoke to Daily Mail UK to reveal that the video was "misleading."

She noted that if the spit was true, Pine must be a "master of self control" as he did not have a "spontaneous reaction of anger and shock."

'Don't Worry Darling' Drama

Aside from the viral clip, there have been rumors surrounding the movie. Olivia Wilde confirmed to Variety that Shia LaBeouf was the first actor to portray Harry Styles' character, but was fired due to his attitude on set.

She noted that his process was "not conductive to the ethos that I demand in my productions" and she wanted to have a safe space within her set for people to do their best work.

However, the actor debunked the claims by providing evidence to the outlet, claiming that the director continued to reach out to him and insisted that he was the one who quit.
