From something so simple to say like "onsen" (which means hot springs) to something that can trip your tongue up like "yum wa sora takaku, doryoku wa ashimoto ni," which the boys had fun deciphering for their interviewer and viewers- it means "dreams are high in the sky, efforts are your feet," btw, Travis Japan certainly did not disappoint as temporary Japanese teachers.

Despite the obvious language barrier between the five cheery boys and their equally giggly Enstarz host, the whole interaction screams of fun, youth, and warmth.  These are three words that can be used also to describe the band that suddenly captured the hearts of America.

The boys were first asked to introduce themselves and they already started to fool around right off the bat. This certainly made the interviewer feel at ease with them and it was quite nice to hear about something unique about each of them as well. Noel, one of the members, even volunteered the fact that even though his name meant "Christmas," he was really born a month earlier, in November.

This prompted the interviewer to say she is the one who was born right on Christmas.

For the whole "lesson," each of the five boys gave around 2 Japanese phrases that they wanted their host and their viewers to learn. There were so many that viewers can certainly picked up on, such as the Japanese for "Let's hang out!" -- a handy phrase in case you badly want to invite someone out on a date.

Watch the full video below and learn all these fun Japanese phrases and appreciate how warm these boys were. You'll certainly go "kansha! kansha!," which means thank you so so so much.

Travis Japan is one of the groups under Johnny & Associates' J-Pop idols. According to Enstarz, in Japan, Johnny's idols are prominently displayed in EVERYTHING from TV dramas to advertisements to major national occasions like the Olympics and the coronation of the Japanese emperor.

The last time a Johnny's group performed on national American television was SHONENTAI's visit on the Merv Griffen show in 1984. However, before September of this year ended, the J-Pop idol group Travis Japan made their debut on America's Got Talent. It is a band of seven people that stand out for their flashy attire and lovable humor.

"Chaka," or Miyachika Kaito, Nakamura Kaito, aka "Umi," "Shime" or Shimekake Ryuya, "Noel" or Kawashima Noel, Shizu or Yoshizawa Shizuya, Genta, a pen name for Matsuda, and "Machu" aka Matsukura Kaito make up the group.
