Actor Chris Colfer addresses his "painful memories" on "Glee" after announcing that he won't be watching Lea Michele on "Funny Girl".

However, despite his success in the television series, Chris Colfer has been the subject of controversial headlines lately due to drama involving "Glee" co-star Lea Michele. When he was asked if he would be watching "Funny Girl", Colfer joked that his "day suddenly just got so full," before confirming, "No, I can be triggered at home".

Chris Colfer Opens up on 'Glee' Painful Memories

In a recent interview with KTLA 5 Morning News, the singer-actor talked about the 10th anniversary of his own children's book series, "The Land of Stories", and briefly touched on his latest comment on Lea Michele's "Funny Girl" rendition. 

"I think there is a lot about my time on Glee that I would love to discuss in detail," Colfer explained. "Not just about the drama everyone knows about but also my time on the show and what it was like to be an out teenager in this industry, back then." 

When asked about possibly writing about his time on "Glee", the New York Times bestselling author expressed that he is still enjoying his own craft and is not looking forward to reliving any past drama.

"I've had many opportunities to do it and I just feel like my books are doing so well and I'm making so many families happy right now," he said. "So, why go back and relive some painful memories?"

Lea Michele Cause of 'Glee' Drama?

While Lea Michele is out living her dream as the lead role of Broadway's "Funny Girl", the public continues to throw shade at the star amidst her past alleged drama on "Glee".

The "Funny Girl" star has been facing online backlash. This criticism arised since one of her former co-stars, Samantha Marie Ware, put the blame on the actress of "creating a bad work environment" on the set of the Fox series. Following the reveal, brands like HelloFresh US publicly ended their partnership with the star. 

Michele has since apologized regarding the issue.
