Famously known for appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Sophia Grace has landed her first movie role as Little Red Riding Hood in Disney's Into the Woods.

The news was released in a tweet by Sophia Grace's uncle, Lucas Brownlee, on Tuesday.

"Its official, @PrincessSGB (Sophia Grace Brownlee) has landed the part of little red riding hood in the disney movie in to the wood[sic]," Brownlee tweeted.

However, once someone tweeted that the uncle was quoted in the Daily Mail, he realized he made the announcement a little too early.

"Yeah mate let the cat out of the bag a bit early on that one, and the media have picked up on it," he replied.

The 8-year-old Internet phenomenon will star alongside an A-list cast. Johnny Depp is set to play The Wolf, Meryl Streep will play The Witch, James Corden is playing The Baker, and his wife will be played by Emily Blunt. Also, Anna Kendrick will star as Cinderella and Chris Pine will play Cinderella's Prince.

Sophia Grace was introduced by Ellen after her YouTube video with cousin Rosie went viral. The video, which features the British girls singing Nicki Minaj's Super Bass, has accumulated over 42 million views following its release September 2011.

Since then, the young tutu-clad girls have appeared as regulars on Ellen's show and have reported at red carpet events including the Billboard Music Awards and MTV Movie awards. They also have their own segments of tea parties with celebrities including Justin Bieber.

Into the Woods, directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago), is expected to hit theaters December 2014.
