BTS' Jungkook is set to drop a new remix of his hit track "3D," featuring Justin Timberlake.

BigHit Music, the label behind BTS, announced the collaboration Thursday via Weverse, sharing a teaser image for the upcoming track.

The remix, aptly titled "3D - Justin Timberlake Remix," is scheduled for release Friday at 2 p.m. KST (midnight EST) on Spotify and other streaming platforms.

According to BigHit Music, Timberlake's touch will enhance "the 2000s vibe of the old school sound of the original version, infusing it with a retro charm."

Jungkook initially released "3D" with Jack Harlow in October, three months after dropping his hit song "Seven" featuring Latto. Both songs topped the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. songs charts following their release, according to Billboard.

In the same month, the BTS member released "3D: The Remixes," an album containing four different remix tracks of "3D," including the "A..G. Cook," "Clean," "Sped Up" and "Slowed Down" versions.

Both "3D" and "Seven" are part of the singer's debut solo album, "Golden," which dropped earlier this month.

The album has seen remarkable success, with the title track, "Standing Next to You," becoming Jungkook's third solo song to take the top spot on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. songs charts.

"Golden" also debuted atop Billboard's Top Album Sales chart last week after selling 164,800 copies in the U.S. in the week ending Nov. 9, Billboard reported, citing Luminate.

In the U.K., Jungkook's album made history, debuting at No. 3 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart.

This accomplishment solidifies Jungkook's position as the Korean solo artist with the highest-ranking album in the U.K. chart, surpassing records set by his fellow BTS members.

The success of "Golden" extends to its singles, with four tracks -- "Seven," "3D," "Too Much" with The Kid Laroi and Central Cee, and "Standing Next to You" -- all reaching the top 10 of the U.K. singles chart.

Meanwhile, Jungkook announced Wednesday that he will enlist in the military in South Korea next month.

In a heartfelt message to fans shared on Weverse, he expressed gratitude for their support and promised to return to the stage after his service.

"I will miss you deeply in my heart as I wait for the day when we can meet again and share new stories. Please don't get sick, and stay healthy. I love you," he wrote.

BigHit Music also announced that Jungkook and his BTS bandmates RM, Jimin and V have each begun the process of enlistment. Their fellow members Jin, Suga and J-Hope are already serving their mandatory military service.
