American comedian Matt Rife reacted and commented on a vague Instagram reel by a plastic surgeon on Instagram hinting at an unnamed patient who had allegedly undergone jawline surgery in his clinic.

On Tuesday, Dr. Benjamin Caughlin, MD, FACS, a plastic surgeon who goes by the username @manyfacesofchicago on Instagram, posted a reel with a vague text description, saying, "Me after creating the greatest jawline ever seen just for my patient to get canceled right after."

While Dr. Caughlin didn't directly name the patient he was referring to in his post, the stand-up comedian reacted and commented, "Lying about medical history is illegal, just FYI."

With Rife's comment on the plastic surgeon's "silly" reel, he only received even more criticism from the netizens.

"Imagine making fun of special needs children and domestic violence victims but getting offended by a silly IG reel," commented one Instagram user. A second user wrote, "Comedian who thinks people are sensitive for being upset at him joking about domestic violence draws the line at plastic surgery jokes apparently."

A third user said, "@mattrife, he didn't even mention you."

Following the release of his Netflix special "Natural Selection," Rife has been in hot water for opening his special with, "If a woman could cook, she wouldn't have a black eye" joke, which reportedly insinuated domestic violence.

The comedian, who's been known for his chiseled jawline and high cheekbones, has always denied undergoing plastic surgery or any cosmetic procedure to his face.

According to him, his face had just undergone a natural glow-up. In one of his shows, he said, "This s- just happened. Puberty hit me so disrespectfully late. I was ugly for the first 22 years of my life."

Rife also addressed the rumors about him going under the knife for cosmetic procedures during a podcast appearance on "Cancelled with Tana Mongeau" earlier this year, stating that the only thing he had fixed was his teeth.

"The only thing I've done is my teeth. I got veneers, obviously, because my teeth were f-ed when I was a kid," he explained.

"I'm like, 'Thanks. People pay for this? That's so crazy!'" Rife quipped. He continued, "Shoutout to doctor G-O-D," reiterating that his looks were natural.
