Jonathan Majors is no longer part of Marvel Studios following the verdict on his assault case.

On Monday, Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts related to the assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Marvel Studios immediately released a statement sealing his fate in the MCU by announcing that they decided not to move forward with Majors. Marvel's decision was met with mixed opinions on social media, with some voicing disapproval for dropping Majors that easily.

"[A]nd just like that Marvel has lost my support! Hopefully, I'm not the only melanted (sic) person that feels this way!" one commented.

"They didn't fire the flash guy or the Heard woman," another wrote, referring to "The Flash" star Ezra Miller and "Aquaman" actress Amber Heard, who also got involved in controversies.

"I hate how manipulating these headlines about Jonathan Majors are [sic] convicted of third-degree Reckless Assault, and NON CRIMINAL harassment. [M]isdemeanors. ACQUITTED of third-degree intentional assault, and second-degree aggravated harassment..... that's a bigger crime and a felony," a third person wrote.

"One thing I can promise...keeping him on wouldn't have stopped many people who wanted to see whatever movie he'd be in from watching it. I'm sure most people are on his side anyway from what was leaked," another opined.

"Ezra Miller did so much worse, and they still released his movie. Just make [M]ajors go off the [internet] for 6 months, and everyone will forget. I NEED MY KANG BACK," a fifth person wrote.

Meanwhile, some were pleased he got axed from the MCU following the verdict. Others even complimented Marvel Studios for not rushing to make decisions and waiting for the verdict before firing Majors.

"Rightfully so," one commented. Another added, "Good!!! Haha, don't get me wrong, great movies and all, but to base the entire Marvel universe behind this guy? I mean [it] just didn't make sense."

"[H]e did it to himself," someone else remarked.

"I will say, hats off to Marvel for waiting for the verdict," a different user wrote.

"Honestly, better than most studios, they waited until he actually was found guilty of his crimes," another netizen said.

Several were also concerned about the future of the anticipated "Kang Dynasty" movie and his Marvel character Kang the Conqueror. Many wondered if Marvel would go forward with it and just recast Majors' titular role.

"[T]hey're axing that character, or recasting?" one asked.

"So it's either Goodbye Kang or recast Kang. We will know soon for sure. Whatever the MCU does, will have faith in them. Maybe Galactus and Doom is the future," another wrote.

Marvel Studios announced the "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022. It was initially set for release on May 2, 2025, but the date has been pushed back to May 1, 2026.
