Meghan Markle's Ball Gown At Bob Marley Movie's Premiere Criticized: 'Looks Ridiculous'
Meghan Markle looked ravishing in her recent public sighting, but some netizens did not like her outfit.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out together Tuesday night when they made a surprise appearance at the "Bob Marley: One Love" premiere at the Carib 5 Theater in Kingston, Jamaica. Markle was stunning in her black tank top and ball gown skirt, while Prince Harry looked dapper in his blue suit.

However, several netizens didn't like Markle's choice of outfit. They wondered why she decided to wear a ball gown skirt at such an event, with one saying she was overdressed.
"Why is she wearing a ball gown?" one asked.
"A bit over dressed," another wrote with a face with tears of joy emoji. "Perhaps it's the dress she was going to wear to dance with John Travolta....but he said NO. She had the dress and nowhere to wear it."

"Why is Harry casually dressed the same as everyone else, but Meghan is wearing a ball gown. She looks ridiculous," someone else claimed.
"They look absolutely ridiculous and out of place as usual. Meghan with a big ball gown skirt on that's too long, and Harry with 3" lifts in his shoes. Photo bombing the studio head and his wife. What an embarrassment," a different user opined.

"Harry [is] looking a bit rough. Why is Meghan wearing a ball gown when Harry and everyone else are dressed casual. Meghan looks ridiculous in a ball gown to the movies," another netizen said.
Meanwhile, several also rallied to support Markle's choice of outfit. For them, nothing was wrong with what she wore, and it wasn't a gown but a tank top and skirt, so she wasn't overdressed.
"That's a great dress!" one wrote. Another added, "It's a tank top and skirt. The colors are slightly mismatched but obvious in certain lighting in a few photos released by her PR team."
"Harry and Meghan do loads of charity work. I think they are allowed out to an event wearing clothes they purchased themselves with their own hard-earned money," a third person opined.
"A black cami with a black full skirt," another fan wrote with a fire emoji, seemingly approving of Markle's outfit.

"Because one can wear whatever one wants. That's her prerogative. Mind yours," another wrote in response to those asking why Markle chose a skirt ball gown. A different person agreed, writing, "Because she can, and it's a Premier. What's your problem?"
Aside from Markle's outfit, her presence also raised eyebrows because there were reports that she skipped Prince Harry's Living Legends of Aviation award on Friday because one of their children was sick. The Sussex critics wondered how their children were doing since both were out of the country for the movie premiere event.
