Carl Switzer, famously known as Alfalfa from the Our Gang comedies, died on Jan. 21, 1959. The incident occurred during an alleged argument over $50. Moses Samuel Stiltz, the assailant, claimed that Switzer threw a knife at him during the dispute, prompting him to respond by shooting Switzer in the stomach.

The demise of soccer player Andrés Escobar reverberated on July 2, 1994, in Medellin, Colombia, shortly after the conclusion of the 1994 FIFA World Cup. The incident unfolded in the aftermath of Colombia's elimination from the tournament, a result linked to Escobar's accidental scoring in his own team's net.

Two men confronted him, brandishing a gun and mercilessly firing six shots, leading to his untimely death. The prevailing belief is that Escobar's tragic fate was a form of retaliation for his on-field error.
