Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex leave after a service of thanksgiving for the reign of Queen Elizabeth II at St Paul's Cathedral in London, Friday, June 3, 2022 on the second of four days of celebrations to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

Several articles and threads circulated online, discussing why the British people allegedly hate Markle so much.

In a thread on Quora, a netizen claimed that "Meghan Markle had no idea how things worked in Britain, let alone in the royal family."

The uploader also enumerated other reasons, such as the duchess "acting all f***ing high and mighty" and "lying around in public about what other family members said to one another."

Meanwhile, a Fortune editor talked about "Markle's real sin" that the British public can't forgive in a 2022 commentary.

Mohamed El Aassar claimed that "it's not about race... it's Meghan's attitude that is problematic." Many British people reportedly rejected the accusations of racism Markle and Prince Harry shared in their Netflix docuseries, "Harry & Meghan."

Another alleged reason the Brits loathed the Sussex couple was their exit from their senior royal duties in January 2020.
