Aroldis Chapman is generating significant online attention for a matter that could unsettle many.

In a 30-second video posted to his Instagram Story, Chapman, known for his tenure with the New York Yankees from 2016 to 2022, is seen seated on a couch, reportedly alongside his mother, while a man speaking Spanish can be heard behind the camera. The left-handed pitcher was seen groping her breasts before the woman pushed his hand away. He caressed her stomach instead. He also kissed her right breast, 'Sports Illustrated' reports.

Jason Mackey, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Pirates beat writer, revealed that the individual in the video is Chapman's mother. Describing the interaction as an "innocent family moment," they joked about Chapman being a "mommy's boy" who couldn't be weaned from breastfeeding. The footage portrays him mimicking an infant's behavior.

Mackey referenced a source with alleged firsthand information regarding the incident.

The video has since vanished from Chapman's Instagram page, though it remains uncertain whether he removed it himself or if it expired after the standard 24-hour duration.

"My own $0.02 is that it still comes across as very weird. Cultural differences or not, tough for anybody online or anywhere to make that connection," Mackey stated.

Only a handful of individuals engaged with the post, with social media users expressing their discomfort and unease with the video clip.
