Princess Beatrice is reportedly not thrilled with Netflix's upcoming drama, "Scoop," according to a royal expert.

Netflix will drop "Scoop" on Friday. The film chronicles the events leading to Prince Andrew's infamous 2019 "Newsnight" interview with the BBC, where he was asked about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute.

According to Jennie Bond, an English journalist and former BBC royal correspondent, Prince Andrew's eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, would be "annoyed and upset" once the movie comes out because it will reportedly show her involvement in setting up the interview, which backfired and led to the Duke of York's decision to step back from his royal duties.

"It's altogether very bad news for Andrew and, indeed, for his whole family. Beatrice, in particular, will undoubtedly be annoyed and upset that her part in setting up and monitoring the interview will now be made so much more public," Bond told OK! magazine.

"And there has already been much emphasis on the fact that Andrew was delighted with the interview immediately after it was completed. How stupid does that make him look? And he won't like that at all. So it all signals more difficult times ahead for the Yorks."

Before the interview, Prince Andrew was plagued with various controversies due to his connection with the pedophile Epstein. He addressed the issue in the interview and denied he had sex with an underage Virginia Roberts. However, the move only raised several eyebrows, with many believing it was better if he had kept his silence about the matter.

A week after the interview, Princess Beatrice was seen looking somber at her then fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's 36th birthday. An unnamed source told the Daily Mail at the time that she was "in tears every day since the interview went out."

Sources claimed that Prince Andrew's ex, Sarah Ferguson, was not around when the interview took place. However, Princess Beatrice was there. She was allegedly present during the interview with his dad's then-private secretary, Amanda Thirsk.

"Sarah [Ferguson] was abroad, so Beatrice sat in on the discussions. Initially, Beatrice was skeptical that a television interview, which would inevitably delve into her father's private life, was such a good idea. She was asking lots of pertinent questions and had her doubts," one insider claimed.

Eventually, Princess Beatrice agreed for her dad to push through with the interview to end the rumors. Meanwhile, although not present, the Duchess of York allegedly encouraged her ex-husband to proceed with the TV interview to clear his name and for a "better chance of recovery" of his public image.

"Andrew has been relying on Sarah heavily. In fact, she's been the prince's biggest champion, and he values her opinion and experience. When the possibility of this interview arose, Sarah felt that it could be the best way of clearing his name while presenting the public with a look at the real Andrew," a source told the Daily Mail.

"Scoop" will premiere on Netflix on Friday.
