With the NFL draft less than three weeks away, Sweat, 22, was arrested under the misdemeanor charge, which Texas law states is punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.

Sweat was projected to be an early round pick, per CBS, with expectations of being chosen within the first or second round in the draft, which begins on April 25.

According to KXAN-TV, Sweat posted a $3,000 bond and was released from custody shortly after his booking. Sweat was asked for comment relating to his arrest, when an attorney answered how they were "not talking about the incident."

The 2023 All-American and Outland Trophy winner was booked at 2:12 p.m. and was seen departing from Travis County Jail with a white towel over his head alongside his attorney.
