Bethenny Frankel recently got candid about her previous relationship with Jason Hoppy.

On Tuesday's episode of her "Just B Divorced" podcast, Frankel confessed that she was "relieved" by her miscarriage in 2012 during her "suffocating" relationship with her ex-husband.

"I was pregnant again, and I had a miscarriage. I was so relieved. I was so incredibly relieved," she said.

Before this confession, the 53-year-old TV personality described what was going on with her life at the time.

"I couldn't breathe, I was exasperated. There was an imbalance in the power struggle. And it was a f***in' disaster," Frankel shared.

"It was a nightmare, and I'm pregnant. I'm getting married, and I have sold my business, and I am buying an apartment and trying to pretend that everything's good."

"The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" runner-up also disclosed that she forced herself to be intimate with Hoppy during their marriage.

"We were laying in bed, and he used to say to me, 'You're like a block of ice' because I did not want to be intimate. I did not want to have sex. I did not respect him. I did not want to have sex at all... I forced myself and gagged myself through doing it. It was torture," she recalled.

Frankel explained that while her miscarriage "was a nightmare," she felt relieved because she knew her relationship with Hoppy was not a "healthy and positive" one.

She also claimed that her estranged husband called her "a real piece of s***" and moved out to a hotel downtown for a couple of nights at the time. But that gave her "total relief."

However, Frankel revealed in a 2012 interview with Glamour that aside from relief, she felt guilty following the miscarriage.

"There was something so sad about it -- that there had been a life there, and then suddenly it was not there," she told the magazine.

"There was also, I have to admit, a bit of relief that I wouldn't be starting my new TV job seven months pregnant. And then, there was immense guilt at the relief."

Frankel and Hoppy started dating in 2018, got married in 2010 and welcomed their daughter, Bryn, that same year.

Two years later, they separated but only finalized their divorce in 2021.

Before Hoppy, Frankel was married to Peter Sussman between 1996 and 1997.
