Raven-Symone is standing up for her wife after she's been slammed online following a "controversial" statement she recently made on a podcast.

The 'Cheetah Girls' alum is calling for an end to the nasty messages "trolls" have been sending to her wife of four years after she admitted that she "didn't watch 'That's So Raven' growing up."

On Thursday, both Raven and Miranda Pearman-Maday appeared in a TikTok where the former Disney star claimed her wife continues to receive "death threats in her DMs" and that the slander toward her is "disrespectful."

"I'm here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments and stop with the death threats in her DMs," Raven, 38, began. "It is disrespectful to her and, in turn, disrespectful to me. Stop it."

Miranda, who was seen sitting next to the former 'View' co-host said that the death threats has "become wild," saying she hopes to clear the air on "a big spiral of internet misinformation."

"I never have once said that I didn't know who Raven was," Maday, 36, said. "I only ever said that I did not grow up watching 'That's So Raven.' I did not watch her as a child, but since getting married and meeting her in 2015, I have seen a majority of her work."

"I think my wife is endlessly talented. I support her beyond. She also just isn't Raven-Symoné to me. You must try and open your minds a little bit and understand there is more behind people that are [a] celebrity," she explained.

She continued: "There is real life here and that's why we're feeling inclined to address this, because I'm receiving so much hate for something that is really just a big spiral of internet misinformation."

Maday shared details of the origin story behind the firestorm, explaining on "Bottoms Up With Fannita" podcast that she participated in a TikTok trend which focused on her being Raven's wife, but some followers didn't approve.

"The number of comments that people left saying, 'you think you can do that trend and you didn't even watch the show one time' — I'm like, how does that make sense, sir?" Maday recalled.

Per ABC News, both Maday and Raven-Symone revealed to social media back in 2020 that they married in an intimate wedding ceremony.
