Insiders close to the Trump family reveal that Melania Trump is ready to loosen her grip on her son Barron, having previously been described as fiercely protective of him throughout his upbringing.

Barron Trump, the youngest child of Donald Trump, turned 18 in March and has largely been sheltered from public attention, unlike his older siblings Ivanka, Eric, Donald Jr., and Tiffany. Despite his towering height of 6 ft 7in, Barron has refrained from publicly expressing his opinions — until now.

It's revealed that Barron is an ardent supporter of the Trump 2024 campaign and is set to pursue his father's political trajectory. However, to embark on this path, he is keen to articulate his own perspectives and carve out his own platform, a step his mother Melania, 54, had reportedly previously dissuaded.

In 2017, Barron faced social media scrutiny, leading Chelsea Clinton, former First Daughter, to urge online trolls to respect his childhood. "It's high time the media and everyone leave Barron Trump alone and let him have the private childhood he deserves," she said.

Sources close to the family divulge that Melania is poised to afford Barron greater autonomy to shape his own identity.

However, amid her husband's legal challenges preceding his presidential aspirations, Melania remains vigilant in overseeing Barron's affairs.

"While he was still a minor she zealously protected him and we knew very little about the details of his daily life," revealed an insider to the DailyMail. "I think he's allowed to make more decisions for himself now. He can invite anyone to dinner he wishes. He's slowly becoming more public."
