Nene Leakes will reprise her role as Coach OZ during Glee's upcoming season 5.

E! News reported on Tuesday that the reality star will return to Fox's hit musical show as the "quick-witted and terrifyingly intimidating Coach Roz." Sources confirm that Leakes is set to appear in multiple episodes of the Fox hit's upcoming season."

Leakes later confirmed the report on Twitter. 

"Up late reading my Glee script Coach Roz is a beast! I love her," Leakes tweeted on August 12.

During season 4 of Glee, Leakes' Coach Oz had resigned from coaching the swim team the Cheerios. She had successfully wrestled them away from Jane Lynch's Coach Sue Sylvester during season 3. Leakes' return is one of many changes to the show following the shocking death of Glee star Corey Monteith. The 31 year-old was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13. The British Columbia Coroner's Service announced on July 16 that the Canada native died from an overdose of heroin and alcohol.

Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told E! News a storyline for Monteith's onscreen character Finn Hudson's death will be featured in the third episode of season 5. The show will go on a brief hiatus after the third episode airs. 

"That episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Cory's passing and the drug abuse in particular," Reilly told E! News.

Fox will premiere season 5 of Glee on Sept. 26.

Leakes is currently filming season 6 of The Real Housewives of AtlantaHer spinoff show, I Dream of Nene: The Wedding will premiers on September 17 on Bravo.
