Fifty Shades of Grey movie casting rumors continue to run wild on the web, as anticipation over who'll ultimately be cast for the role of Anastasia Steele continues to build.

According to Celebitchy, Amber Heard has been in contention for the role of the shy, college graduate. However, A-lister Johnny Depp has reportedly told his main squeeze to turn down the part.

The site reports that Depp, 50, feels that the movie is going to be "too smutty." However, jealousy is said to have possibly played a role in his advice to the actress. Hence, the 27-year-old would have to partake in sex scenes with an actor playing Christian Grey who would almost certainly be half his age.

Gather reported that Heard didn't put up too much of a protest with her beau because she's looking to become more of an action standout anyway.

Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who's currently hard at work on the script, stated that she'd be adhering to the content of author E.L. James' books with lots of sex and raunchiness.

The highly anticipated flick is scheduled to launch on the big screen on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2014. Be sure to check back for more of the latest info on the highly anticipated racy flick. Heard can be seen on a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance below.
